EVALUATION OF EFFICACY OF NAGAKESARA CHURNA IN SHWETA PRADARA (LEUCORRHOEA)

Abstract
Ayurveda and its medicines are serving the needs of ailing humanity since many centuries. Gynecological problems are very common now-a-days, among them Shweta Pradara is one of the most observing disorder of women which occurs irrespective of socio-economical status, occupation etc. It is caused by the vitiation of Kapha and Vata prdhana tridosha. Though it is seen as a negligible factor initially, if not treated properly in time it will lead to major gynaecological problems. Any research work remains incomplete unless it is confirmed by clinical trials made on human beings. To assess the efficacy of drug under trail, clinical study must be done. For the study “Nagkesara churna” was taken, to be administered along with the Takra as anupana” and “Yoniprakshalana by Sphatika Bhasma” considering its efficacy in Shweta Pradara.
