EVALUATION OF INTERACTIONS BETWEEN ECOLOGICAL LUBRICATING AND ANTIOXIDANT ADDITIVES IN A SYNTHETIC OIL BASE

Abstract
The paper presents the results of the research concerning the lubricant properties and thermooxidation stability of synthetic polyester lubricant containing additive lubricant (PE) and antioxidants (tocopherols and commercial additive RC 9308). The evaluation was based on the limiting load of wear as a measure of antiwear properties and oxidation time as a measure of oxidative stability. It was concluded that additives occur between the two effects, changing specific properties of the lubricant composition. Between PE and the antioxidant additive set, antiwear action antagonism (decrease Goz) and antioxidant incomplete synergism (increase oxidation time) occurred.
