Evaluation of PhD Dissertations Regarding to Innovation by Content Analysis Method

Abstract

This study aims to determine the general profile of Phd dissertations written about the innovation in Turkey between the years 2000-2015. The study includes 100 PhD dissertation written about innovation and accessible in Council of Higher Education National Thesis Center. The dissertations have been examined in terms of the original language, year, university, institute, department, issue, application and method. The data acquired in this screening model based study, is analyzed by the content analysis method. As a result of analyses, it was understood that the dissertations on innovation were mostly studied in the Institute of Social Sciences, the Department of Business and Istanbul University. Also, it was determined that the most searched topic was innovation performance and the most commonly used method was survey method in dissertations.
