EVALUATION OF β- AND σ-CONVERGENCE OF DEVELOPMENT OF UKRAINIAN REGIONS IN INDICATORS OF FOREIGN TRADE

Abstract
The estimation of the presence of convergence of development of regions of Ukraine in terms of volumes of export and import operations during 2002–2017 was done. Phenomenon of β-convergence of levels of regional trade development was researched on the grounds of built Barro regression models. Based on the received results convergence speed and time of overcoming half of the distance for the regional trade levels in the export indicator was calculated. Phenomenon of σ-convergence was analytically researched basing on number of numerical characteristics of the statistical data of the volume of export and import of Ukrainian regions. The change coefficient of variation for the exports and imports volume of the regions of Ukraine during the 2002–2017 was found and graphically depicted in dynamic.
