Evaluativity as an intentional category of publicistic text

Abstract

The article is dedicated to evaluativity – an important intentional category of a publicistic text. The functions of evaluation as the means of asserting the important ideas and views were analyzed. It was established that in the texts of the media authors seek to express their attitude through various linguistic means, conveying the emotions in the evaluation of the events they have described. Category of evaluation is an intentional text-forming category of publicistic text and an important component of linguistic persuasion. Through the use of it, the authors form and fix certain thoughts and beliefs in the minds of recipients.
