EVOLUTION OF THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON RURAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT

Abstract

Purpose. The aim of the article is to explore the evolution of economic knowledge, concepts and theories regarding the territorial development and substantiate the formation of the national system of rural development with taking into account experience of their operation and regulation. Methodology of research. The methodological basis of the study served as the theoretical development of domestic and foreign scientists on the issues of social and economic development of rural areas. Implementation of the goals and objectives of the scientific work is carried out by the following methods: a systematic approach – in the substantiation of the theoretical basis to the formation of the model of behavior of subjects for management of rural areas, generalization – in determining approaches to implementing effective management system and regulation of social and economic processes in rural areas; monographic – to study the advanced experience of rural development. Findings. Different views and content of theories of territorial economy with the aim to determine their impact on rural development are systematized by the scientists. Approaches to the functioning of the territory based on different understanding of social and economic final results of their development with considering to the territorial government, political conditions and characteristics of the control system are substantiated. The methodological guidelines for the development environment, principles and preconditions for the introduction of the management system of rural areas are formed. Originality. Author’s approach to the study of adaptation of economic knowledge, theoretical approaches to the formation of modern model of rural development and management of social and economic processes to the domestic practice of regulating their operation is formed in the article. Practical value of results of the study is determined by the possibility of determining the formation process of rural development of Ukraine in the contemporary economy.
