EXAMINATION OF LEVEL OF SELF-EFFICACY AND ACQUISITION OF SENSE OF IDENTITY OF THE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS FROM SEVERAL VARIABLES: A CASE STUDY IN GUMUSHANE UNIVERSITY

Abstract
In the study, in terms of some variables, university students`self-efficacy andacquisition ofsense of identity levels have been researched. In the context, the differentiation arising from the socio-demographical variables was investigated by revealing self efficacy and the sense of identity levels of the student groups of Health Faculty, School of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of Theology and Faculty of Engineering in Gumushane University, determined by randomly sampling method. Also, Frequency, T-Test and One Way-ANOVA tests were applied. On the other hand, SPSS 16.0 Statistical Package for the Social Sciences programwas utilized in both evaluating the data and obtaining the calculated values. In conclusion, in the study, its theoretical foundations are fed from Bandura’s “self-efficacy” and Erikson’s “sense of identity” concepts, socio-demographic factors which influencing self efficacy and acquisition of sense of identity have been determined.
