Examining the impact of psychological-social components of security threats, political affiliations and candidates' alliances, on participation in the Islamic Council elections (case study of Boyar Ahmad and Dana cities in 2018).

Abstract
he favorable movement of contemporary Iranian society from the traditional to the modern state requires the political participation of citizens, And elections are the acceptance of responsibility in one's own society.<br /><br />The purpose of this study is to study the sociological factors affecting the participation of the people of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces in the elections of the Islamic Consultative Assembly. Therefore, the effect of independent variables such as the role of the coalition of candidates, ethnic-tribal affiliation and the role of external threats on the turnout in the elections was examined. Methodologically, this research has been compiled with a quantitative approach and a survey method, based on the use of questionnaire tools to collect data and opinions of respondents. <br /><br />The sample studied in this study is 384 men and women over the age of eighteen in Boyer-Ahmad and Dena counties in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces. Using multi-stage cluster sampling and random sampling, how to select and distribute The questionnaire was identified.<br /><br />Also, based on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, it was found that the data of the mentioned variables do not have a normal distribution. Therefore, Spearman rank correlation test was used to measure the correlation of independent and dependent variables. After calculating these coefficients with the help of SPSS software, it can be inferred that the greatest impact is related to the role of tribal affiliation of 0.785, coalition of candidates 0.783 and foreign threats 577% on participation in the elections, respectively.
