Examining the Relationship between the Use of Management Information System and Increase of Decision-Making Productivity among the Managers (Case Study: Urmia Municipality)

Abstract
Management information systems is the one which is integrated and involves user, machine for processing the information in supporting the operations, management and decision-making. The system makes use of software and hardware, guidelines and principles, models for analysis, planning, controlling and decision-making and data base. Management information system and organization have counter product effect on each other. The afore-mentioned system addresses the required information and influence of the culture and other sectors of organization through running new information system. The organization needs are influential in developing the system so that the organization can benefit from new aspects. Management can be analyzed by decision-making and its implementation. Thus, many authors take decision-making similar to the management and conceive as the heart of organization. The aim of the present study is to investigate the relationship between the use of management I formation system and increase of decision-making productivity among the managers. Urmia Municipality was chosen as the case study.
