Excess Thermo Acoustical Parameters of Binary Liquid Mixtures of Methyl Benzoate with 1-Octanol at Different Temperatures

Abstract

The densities, viscosities and ultrasonic velocities of the binary liquid mixtures of Methyl Benzoate with 1-Octanol have been measured at temperatures 303.15K, 308.15K, 313.15K and 318.15K over the entire range of mole fraction of Methyl Benzoate. From the experimental data various thermo acoustical parameters namely adiabatic compressibility (β), free length (Lf), free volume (Vf), internal pressure (πi), enthalpy (H) and Gibb’s free energy of activation have been evaluated. Excess values of the above parameters have also been calculated. The results are explained on the basis of molecular interactions present in these mixtures
