Existence of Positive Solution to a Quasilinear Elliptic Problem in <B>R</B>N
Journal Title: Surveys in Mathematics and its Applications - Year 2006, Vol 1, Issue 0
Abstract
In this paper we prove the existence of positive solution for the following quasilinear problem <BR>∆pu = a(x)f(u) in <B>R</B>N <BR>u > l >0 in <B>R</B>N <BR>u(x) → l, as |x| → ∞ <BR>where ∆p(1 < p < ∞) is the p -Laplacian operator.The proof is based on the results due to Diaz-Saa [Revista de Mathematicas aplicadas, 2000].

Subordination and superordination for certain analytic functions containing fractional integral
The purpose of the present article is to derive some subordination and superordination results for certain normalized analytic functions involving fractional integral operator. Moreover, this result is applied to find a...
Full averaging of fuzzy impulsive differential inclusions
In this paper the substantiation of the method of full averaging for fuzzy impulsive differential inclusions is studied. We extend the similar results for impulsive differential inclusions with Hukuhara derivative (Skrip...
On the Liu and almost unbiased Liu estimators in the presence of multicollinearity with heteroscedastic or correlated errors
This paper introduces a new biased estimator, namely, almost unbiased Liu estimator (AULE) of β for the multiple linear regression model with heteroscedastics and/or correlated errors and suffers from the problem of mult...
Shock Waves in Gas Dynamics
Shock wave theory was studied in literature by many authors. This article presents a survey with references about various topics related to shock waves: Hyperbolic conservation laws, Well-posedness theory, Compactness th...
Degree of approximation of functions belonging to Lipα class and weighted (Lr,ξ(t)) class by product summability method
A good amount of work has been done on degree of approximation of functions belonging to Lipα, Lip(α,r), Lip(ξ(t),r) and W(Lr, ξ(t)) classes using Cesàro and (generalized) Nörlund single summabilit...
