EXISTENTIAL MEANING MYTHOPOETIC SYMBOLISM IN THE NOVEL SYLVIE GERMAIN «L’ENFANT MEDUSE»

Abstract
The article deals with novel by modern French author Silvie Germain «L’Enfant Mèduse». A careful study of the connection between place and role of mythopoetic paradigm (images, motives, elements of ritual, symbols, etc.) in the novel and existential range of problems which dedicates in it has been made. The main existential problems in the novel are: loneliness, defenselessness before the world of evil, necessity to choice a strategy of behavior — a way of self-defence.
