EXISTING: FROM PHILOSOPHY OF POSSIBILITY TO SHORT-TERM PSYCHOTHERAPY

Abstract

Existing has become the basis in Heideggerian analytic of Dasein. While analyzing human being Nicola Abbagnano stated it as a term of Existing which is by nature questionable and in the same time possible to discover via triple transcendence movement. This fact allowed a thesis that philosophical thought of Italian existentialist, its component elements i.e. questionable existence, capability which contains: openness, acceptance and a choice may lead to short-term (psycho)therapy. In the first section we explained in a synthetic way what is exactly the philosophy of opportunity. In the second component we took the issue of Existing in the context of openness. The third part of the article was dedicated to short-term (psycho)therapy where we namely attempted to point out elements connecting Abbagnano’s philosophy with short-term psychotherapy because in our opinion the philosophy of opportunity directs to „overcoming” mistaken assurances about the world, different, „I” based on questionable existence and capability. The summary approved us to examine conducted “researches” again, simultaneously to demonstrate that Abbagnano’s philosophy can be in the context of questionable existence and capability, new theory in a short-term therapy.
