Experimental and probabilistic numerical modeling of impact of fiber-reinforced composites at high and low velocities

Abstract

Peculiarities of energy absorption dynamics and the damage of plates of multicomponent composite material are analysed depending on the impact speed at impact velocities ranging from 20 to 1500 m/s in view of causing them physical damage processes based on experimental data and numerical calculation using a developed probabilistic model. The results are compared with experimental data obtained by other authors.
