EXPERIMENTAL AND QUANTUM CHEMICAL INVESTIGATION OF NEW ELECTROLUMINESCENT MATERIAL BASED ON THIOPHENE, PHENYLENE AND ANTRACENE
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii din Bucuresti. Chimie - Year 2010, Vol 19, Issue 1
Abstract
In this paper, we first report, the synthesis and physical properties of a recent soluble polymer based on thiophene, phenylene and antracene. Then, we present a detailed DFT study based on B3LYP/6-31G* of geometrical structures and electronic properties of this copolymer. Calculated results are compared with experimental data and based on such comparison. We try first, to propose an oligomer model, and then to obtain a qualitative understanding of the properties of copolymer.

DEGRADATION OF 2,4,6-TRINITRORESORCINE (TNR) BYPERSULFATE OXIDATION ACTIVATED WITH ZERO-VALENT IRON (ZVI)
2,4,6-Trinitroresorcine (TNR) with molecular formula C6H3N3O8 is one of the aromatic nitro compounds ranging slight to strong oxidizing agents causing environmental contamination. The persulfate anions activated by ZVI w...
TWO STEP OXIDATION OF 2,4,6-TRINITRORESORCINE (TNR) USING ZERO-VALENT IRON (ZVI) AND ITS APPLICATION IN REMOVAL OF TNR FROM GROUNDWATER
This paper describes the character of the reduction of TNR by ZVI in anaerobic conditions and the oxidative reaction of amine resorcine in the system of ZVI-EDTA-O2. The products of TNR by ZVI in anaerobic conditions wer...

RETENTION MECHANISMS APPLIED IN SOLID PHASE EXTRACTION FOR SOME POLAR COMPOUNDS
Two basic mechanisms were applied for studying some polar compounds of pharmaceutical interest (captopril, atenolol, and metformin) by solid phase extraction, using an octadecilsilica based adsorbent. The retention of th...
CARBON DIOXIDE AS INHIBITOR FOR IGNITION AND FLAME PROPAGATION OF PROPANE-AIR MIXTURES
The effect of CO2 addition on stoichiometric propane-air mixtures, at ambient pressure and temperature, was analysed for both ignition and flame propagation. The quenching distance significantly increases and the normal...
