Experimental Investigation for Thermal Conductivity Enhancement of Ethylene Glycol Based Nano Fluid Containing ZnO Nanoparticles

Abstract
Experimental study of effective thermal conductivity of ZnO based Nano fluid is presented in this research. The Nano fluid was prepared by dispersing ZnO nanoparticles in ethylene glycol using a sonicator and adding surfactant. Ethylene glycol based Nano fluid containing ZnO nanoparticles at different solid volume fractions (very low to high) was examined for the investigation. The thermal conductivity of Nano fluids is experimentally measured, and it is found that the thermal conductivity of Nano fluids increase with the nanoparticles volume concentration improvement.
