Experimental Investigation On EDM Processes By Tool Rotating Speed
Journal Title: Bonfring International Journal of Industrial Engineering and Management Science - Year 2016, Vol 6, Issue 4
Abstract
Electrical Discharge Machine is commonly used non-traditional machining process to machine high strength advance materials which are difficult to machine. The present research investigates the effect of tool rotating speed to the responses viz. MRR, TWR and surface roughness (Ra) of Electric Discharge Machine (EDM) processes viz. EDM, Dry-EDM, Near Dry EDM which used the liquid, gas and liquid-gas dielectric respectively. It is found that the increased in tool rotating speed increases MRR then decreases. It is also found that increase in tool rotating speed decreases Surface roughness (Ra). TWR for Dry-EDM and ND-EDM compared to Wet EDM is negligible.

Influence of Process Parameters on Aluminium Alloy 6061-O Joints by Friction Stir Welding Process
The present work reports the influence of process parameters (tool speed, traverse speed and axial load) on the metallurgical and mechanical properties of joints fabricated by friction stir welding process. The samples w...
Effect of Welding Speed on Mechanical Properties of Friction Stir Welded Copper
Fusion welding of copper and its alloys tends to degrade the mechanical strength at the weld joint area due to high thermal diffusivity and high melting point. Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is an excellent alternative for...
