EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCHES OF ENERGY LOADING OF FRICTION PAIRS OF BAND-BLOCK BRAKES WITH AN AIR-LIQUID COOLING SYSTEM (part one)

Abstract

The article illustrates the methodology of experimental researches of the energyloading of friction pairs of a band-block brake with an air-liquid cooling system in industrial conditions. The purpose of the work is to justify the loss of heat from the matte and polished surfaces of the composite brake pulley when they interact with the environment under different types of heat transfer. In this publication, the following issues are considered in relation to the problem being solved: features of the evaluation of the thermal balance of the composite brake pulley in forced air-liquid cooling of its polished and matte surfaces; methodology of experimental researches of the energyloading of improved friction pairs of a band-block brake during forced cooling. The methodology of carrying out experimental researches of the evaluation of the energyloading of the friction pairs of a band-block brake in industrial conditions is considered in the presence of two composite pulleys on the draw-work as part of a band-block brake.
