METAL-CONTAINING POLYMERS IN GRAIN CHAIN CONVEYORS

Abstract
Laboratory and production tests were conducted to increase the reliability and durability of grain chain conveyors. It is established that the index of abrasive abrasion of metal-containing polymers is determined by the degree of filling and reaches a minimum with a filler content of 15 weight percent. At the same time, the introduction of metallic fillers reduces the abrasion factor of 1.5 – 6 times. It is shown that the replacement of serial parts, made of polyamide-6, with metal-containing polymer increases the reliability and durability of friction units in grain chain conveyors.
