EXPONENTIAL DEVELOPMENT OF CROWDFUNDING AS AN INSTRUMENT OF ENHANCING INNOVATION

Abstract
In the article the features of exponential development of crowdfunding since its appearance until 2017 are investigated. The causes of appearance, forms, business models of crowdfunding are analyzed. For example, we explore one of the most famous crowdfunding platforms – Kickstarter, analyze benefits of founders of crowdfunding platforms, the recipients and donors of projects. There is proved that crowdfunding service is an alternative to bank lending, venture capital, financing of business angels and is an important tool to preserve their savings.
