Extensive cholesteatoma of the petrous temporal bone – case report

Abstract
A case of 47-year-old woman with extensive cholesteatoma of the petrous temporal bone extending to the atlas vertebra was described. She was treated by lateral petros ectomy. Diagnostic and thera peutic problems connecte d to skull base patholog y management were discussed.
