External Flow Analysis over Hyundai Model Using CFD
Journal Title: IOSR Journal of Mechanical and Civil Engineering (IOSR-JMCE) - Year 2019, Vol 16, Issue 1
Abstract
Computational fluid dynamic software ANSYS Fluent 15.0 is used to predict the physical parameters on the external surface of a vehicle. The simulation of the wind tunnel experiments using the above CFD package would be carried out. To study the aerodynamic influence of vehicle segments are considered as threebox form passenger car Hyundai model. As this model provided with the extremities in the design of vehicle category in summarizes these results in a broader sense to understand the aerodynamics of such profile. A wind tunnel experiments consists of physically testing the model in a simulated environment. It is a closed environment in which air is blown across the model at a constant velocity. As the air passes over the vehicle, it follows the streamlines pattern present on the body. This causes a change in pressure and velocity characteristics across the model. By studying the pressure and velocity variations across the model, the drag and lift coefficient could be predicted.

Non-Linear Dynamic Analysis of Guyed Towers to Wind Loading
A nonlinear deterministic approach for predicting the wind response of guyed towers is described in this paper. The nature of wind, static and dynamic wind effect are defined. In the present approach, the time space hist...
An Experimental Study on Strength of Concrete with Partial Replacement of Fine Aggregate with Recycled Crushed Brick Aggregate and Quarry Dust
This project is done to reduce the use of Natural aggregates by replacing it with Recycled Crushed Brick Aggregate (RCBA) and Quarry Dust (QD).The reduction in the sources of natural sand and the requirement for reductio...
The Effect of Tool Geometry on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Friction Stir Processed MIG-Welded Aa5083-H111
In this research, three different tool geometries (pinless, cylindrical and square pin) were developed to study the effect of friction stir processing (FSP) tool geometry on microstructure and mechanical properties of me...
Structural And Thermal Analysis of Aircraft Combustion Chamber Outer Case
The objective of this paper is to make a 3D model of the Combustion chamber outer case and study the structural and thermal behavior of the Combustion chamber outer case by performing the finite element analysis. SOLIDWO...
Recycled refractory brick and Kaolin in Green concrete production
The paper presents results of three studies on concrete mixes containing calcined clay to produce green concrete. The first type (Type I) was Metakaolin (600° K Calcination), second type (Type II) was calcined kaolin in...
