Extradition arrest: legal regulation and practice of application

Abstract
The author of the article has defined the grounds and procedure for the application of a preventive measure in the form of the extradition arrest as a special type of the detention in custody of a person, which is solely chosen for the purpose of the extradition of a person. The author has studied the practice of the ECHR concerning violations by Ukraine of the Articles 3, 5, 6 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, when national courts try the issues of the extradition. It has been determined that there are some problems in the legal regulation of this issue at the level of the Criminal Procedural Code of Ukraine. In this regard, the author has suggested the ways to improve the procedure for the application of the extradition arrests.
