Journal Title: Journal of Medical Science And clinical Research - Year 2018, Vol 6, Issue 6

Abstract

To assess the factors responsible for delay in cancer diagnosis and its impact on prognosis and to increase and spread awareness in public to facilitate early diagnosis and treatment by a prospective study conducted in NSCB MCH JABALPUR over a period of one year {Oct 2013 to Oct 2014}. Cancer is one of the most leading causes of death in many countries despite the advancement in cancer treatment and diagnosis. One of the main reasons for this is delay in diagnosis or initiation of treatment at advanced stage. Delay in diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients may impact on poor prognosis and quality of life.
