Abstract
This report presents a theoretical overview of the impact of chronic illnesses on families. The impact of diagnosis on family functioning. The relationship between the ability of families to adapt and the family functioning as well, the relationship between the adaptation and the effect of the spectrum of chronic disease on a family with a child with long-term pediatric conditions.
