Fascinating klong-toey: The study of slum tourism development
Journal Title: Journal of Advanced Research in Social Sciences and Humanities - Year 2020, Vol 5, Issue 2
Abstract
Aim: The main objective is to seek the best ways to improve tourism in Thailand’s first slum at Klong-Toey District. The study of feasible tourism development in the Klong-Toey slum is a part of the city equality study. Method: The methodologies used for research are in-depth interviews with community leaders and agents who participate in slum tourism development and Participant Observation in the communication. Findings: The study indicates that urban development influences the number of the labor force in Thailand’s agriculture sector. Because of the Port Authority of Thailand construction in 1938, people from other provinces around Thailand have moved into Bangkok, seeking a job to develop and construct infrastructure and settle their lives around the port area. One of the fastest and most effective ways for a country to improve Domestic Income is through tourism, both developing and promoting it. For instance, tourism can be distinguished into Health Tourism, Agriculture Tourism, and Tourism of Designated Areas. Implications/Novel Contribution: The current study’s results will help improve tourism by adopting appropriate policies
