Fault Tolerance in Real Time Distributed System
Journal Title: International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering - Year 2011, Vol 3, Issue 2
Abstract
In this paper we investigate the different techniques of fault tolerance which are used in many real time distributed systems. The main focus is on types of fault occurring in the system, fault detection techniques and the recovery techniques used. A fault can occur due to link failure, resource failure or by any other reason is to be tolerated for working the system smoothly and accurately. These faults can be detected and recovered by many techniques used accordingly. An appropriate fault detector can avoid loss due to system crash and reliable fault tolerance technique can save from system failure. This paper provides how these methods are applied to detect and tolerate faults from various Real Time Distributed Systems

Exponential Observers for Lotka-Volterra Systems
This paper solves the exponential observer design problem for Lotka-Volterra systems. Explicitly, Sundarapandian’s theorem (2002) for observer design for exponential observer design is used to solve the nonlinear observe...
A Realistic Approach: RTST to Reduce Cost & Time
Regression testing is the most expensive technique, but this technique gives confidence that whatever changes has been incorporated they are not making any adverse affect to the output. In Regression Test Selection Techn...
FEATURE SELECTION METHODS AND ALGORITHMS
Feature selection is an important topic in data mining, especially for high dimensional datasets. Feature selection (also known as subset selection) is a process commonly used in machine learning, wherein subsets of the...
Architecture design of a virtualized embedded system
Nowadays, embedded systems have become a major driver of technological developments particularly in the industrial sector. In an embedded system, the hardware and software components are so intertwined that evolution is...
Invariant Moments based War Scene Classification using ANN and SVM: A Comparative Study
In this paper we are trying to classify a war scene from the natural scene. For this purpose two set of image categories are taken viz., opencountry & war tank. By using Invariant Moments features are extracted from...
