FEATURES AND MARKETING TRENDS OF DEVELOPMENT OF UKRAINIAN BEER INDUSTRY

Abstract

The beer market analysis is important for the production enterprise management, as the results can be used to ensure production high efficiency, marketing policy, management, both in the implementation of new projects, and to improve existing business processes. Legislative innovations have a significant impact on the breeding development. In recent years, we have seen an active public policy aimed at limiting the beer producers advertising activities, the new licensing rules application, certification, and the excise rates regular change. The article considers the main trends of the beer market in Ukraine. The basic players in the market, production volumes and production capacities use size of the enterprises engaged in brewing are determined. The volume of export-import operations by industry is investigated. The role of kraft breweries has been determined and the forecast of their development in the future is presented. The legislative regulation peculiarities and marketing situation in the brewing sector of Ukraine are analyzed. The main trend of the present day was the craft brewing market development. The main consumers motive is the product`s non-price characteristics, its taste properties, which enable to satisfy the new experiences attraction. In 2017, this kind of beer took about 1% of the market in Ukraine. Trend came from the USA, where in 2017, craft beer took a quarter of the production volume.
