FEATURES OF RECEPTION OF MATVIY NOMYS’ PEDAGOGICAL IDEAS INTO THE PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION OF THE FUTURE TEACHERS

Abstract

In this article on the basis of the analysis of current trends of professional training of future teachers, perspective directions of updating of pedagogical ideas of Matviy Nomys are determined. Matviy Nomys is Ukrainian folklorist, ethnographer, linguist, teacher, public figure of the nineteenth century. O.O. Lilik, Z.Y. Shumeiko characterized the main directions of the figure’s educational activity, in particular: the literary and artistic and folklore-ethnographic; the organizational-administrative and pedagogical; the public and education. The authors outlined the content of Matviy Nomys' activities in each of the directions, defined his contribution to the development of Ukrainian pedagogical science, compared his ideas with the provisions of the modern legislative framework, and also proposed options for studying the creative heritage of Matviy Nomys within the framework of the course “History of Pedagogy”.
