Features of the constitutional referendum in France 1958

Abstract
The article reveals the prerequisites of the constitutional referendum in France in 1958, which was approved by the Constitution of the Fifth Republic, which as amended operates in France so far. Analyzed predictors of the need to develop a draft text of the basic law during the existence of the Constitution of the Fourth Republic and the issuance of the draft Constitution of the Fifth Republic to a referendum. The problems of preparation and holding of the referendum in 1958 in the African colonies, which at that time were part of France, and found that the problem of financing the preparation and conduct of referendums is also inherent in modern Ukraine. At the same time thanks to the media and the use of IT technologies possible partial solution to this problem today. It is suggested further study of the experience of the French constitutional referendum in order to borrow the positive experience during the constitutional referendum in Ukraine.
