FEATURES OF TRANSITION MODES OF FRICTION SURFACES WITH PARTIALLY REGULAR MICRORELIEF
Journal Title: Проблеми тертя та зношування - Year 2016, Vol 71, Issue
Abstract
The methodology of experiments and the results of the study of transition modes of friction on surfaces with partially regular micro relief was presented. In this article the influence of micro-groove on the surfaces with partially regular micro-relief (PRMR) upon appearance of various friction modes – boundary, semi-fluid and fluid was investigated. The research was conducted on tribometer with a precision control of the friction coefficient, rate of change of temperature and the type of waveforms under different conditions of friction. The conducted investigation helped to discover the effect of hysteresis for friction coefficient when the sliding speed, was altered.
