Fennel stand density depending on technological factors under the conditions of the Western forest steppe

Abstract
The article provides the results of research on the influence of abiotic and technological factors on the duration of interphase and vegetation periods of fennel under the conditions of the Western forest steppe. It also establishes a dependence of fennel stand density formation on sowing time, inter-row spacing and seeding rates. The findings show that increasing the seeding rate up to 2 mln s. / ha and inter-row spacings up to 60 cm reduces field germination and survival of plants and at the same time increases the percentage of dead plants. The study proves that the best time for sowing is early April.
