Ferrous Sulphate Catalysed Synthesis of 1, 5-Benzothiazepines using Sonication Method

Journal Title: Journal of Biological and chemical Chronicles - Year 2018, Vol 4, Issue 2

Abstract

One step synthesis of various aromatic substituted, 1-5-benzothiazepines carried by the reaction of different substituted chalcone with ortho-aminothiophenol in sonication at 40ÂșC using ferrous sulphate as catalyst. This reaction method is mild reaction condition and has very short reaction time as compared to the other conventional methods. The structural assignment of the final product has been done by spectral techniques or other techniques.
