FINANCING HIGHER EDUCATION IN THE USA

Abstract
The article examines the issue of financing higher education in the USA. The largest providers of financial aid to higher education institutions and the role of federal and state governments are researched. The existing problems in financing and access to higher education are analyzed. Proposals for reformation of the US system of higher education financing are considered.
