Financing Mobility Programs of the Future Experts of an Economic Profile in Ukraine and the EU.

Abstract

Funding for student academic mobility is an important prerequisite for the growth of the number of mobile students. The article provides an overview of the ways of financing education abroad. A comparison of access to scholarships and grants in Ukraine and the European Union is provided. Spending on education and mobility across Europe varies. In general, these costs consist of tuition fees, cost of living and other expenses, including insurance or pay for textbooks. As the cost of living in different EU countries is not the same, students from low-income countries are in a relatively worse position when moving to study in richer countries. It was revealed that in the EU access to the scholarships often depends on the level of economic development and the country's policies. In Ukraine, the responsibility for finding scholarships in most cases devolves on students themselves. Ukrainian students should master the basic skills and knowledge to participate in scholarship programs and grants. They provide enough funding opportunities, although many programs are unavailable for Ukrainian students, as our country is not an EU member. Secondly, a significant number of scholarships intended for developing countries. A review of major scholarship programs for Ukrainians was given. Students should be encouraged to look for information on sources of funding, because almost every European University offers such features. At the same time it should be taken into account the fact that scholarships cannot cover the costs of training, requirements for obtaining them are quite high, and the advantage for the student is possession of the national language of the country.
