Abstract
Fire resistance tests of timber roofs with gypsum plasterboard lining. The results of two sets of fire resistance tests of the roofs of timber structure with lining of gypsum plasterboards are presented and discussed. Each set of tests comprises of 2 fire resistance tests of roofs of similar timber construction but the lining was made of the gypsum plasterboards of different manufacturer. One set of tests comprises of timber roofs with single layer of gypsum plasterboard lining, second one – with double layer gypsum plasterboard lining. The test results for roofs with single layer lining were very close, but the differences in rafters deflections were observed. The same was observed for second set of tests. In every tests the critical for fire resistance was integrity criterion. Small differences in level of load applied to the roofs had no observed influence on the timber roofs behaviour.
