Fizjoterapia pacjentów leczonych z powodu pierwotnych nowotworów złośliwych kości

Abstract
Bone sarcomas (primary malignant tumours) occur mainly in the epiphyses of long bones or in the shoulder blade. In such a case the treatment is a combination therapy: preoperative chemotherapy, surgery and chemo- or radiotherapy. It is a long-term treatment, leading to psychic and physical exhaustion of a patient. Rehabilitation should be introduced already before the main treatment – consultation with a psychooncologist and with a physical therapist during physical therapy is an integral part of the therapy. Physical treatment depends on the type of surgical treatment – from limb amputation, to conserving therapy including joint replacement or not, allowing to save the limb.
