Abstract
The article invstigaes the phonographic stylization of the character speech of the novels and the story «The shadows of forgotten ancestors» by Mihaylo Kotsyubinsky and the techniques of the restitution of Ukranian wok melodicity in French translaions made by Emile Kruba and Jean-Claude Marcadé. Through a comparative analysis of the target and source texts we distinguish the main methods of translations that are used for the conserving of the author's language phonetic expressiveness in French artistic translation.
