„FOR THE LACK OF THE EVIDENCE OF QUILT…” – REHABILITATION OF ATTORNEY GENERAL ROMANA GOLANSKA

Abstract
The author presents an outline of Romana Golanska’s biography; National Army member, attorney general, a political prisoner between 1951and 1954. From the beginning of 1944 political repressions were massively applied. They oppressed people who were fighting for an independent and democratic Polish state with nazi occupants during World War II. ;ose actions were treated as nazilike, illegal and criminal. People who undertook such actions were treated as traitors of the Polish nation and prosecuted equally to nazi criminals. The article presents the drama of a person put at the bar of the ‘people’s’ justice. Golanska, repressed for the conspiracy activity during WW II based on the decision of the organs of public security fought for presuming her to be innocent and restoration of her civil rights.<br/><br/>
