FORECAST FOR THE ORGANIZATION OF LINER SERVICES IN THE PORT OF GDYNIA
Journal Title: Biuletyn Instytutu Morskiego - Year 1994, Vol 21, Issue 3
Abstract
The expected growth of general cargo turnover in Port of Gdynia will be, among others, connected with a change in the organization of services offered to ports by liner operators. This concerns the development of: feeder lines coordinated with departures of main-line container vessels from North Sea ports, Baltic ferry and ro/ro shipping, ro/ro lines to Mediterranean, U.K. and Irish ports. In main-line (oceanic) traffic, lines served by semicontainer vessels will dominate.
