METHODS OF ESTIMATING A REAL DEMAND FOR FRESH WATER ON MERCHANT SHIPS

Abstract
This paper presents an original method of estimating fresh water demand for designing ships. Presented method is based on a random description of real working conditions. Based on an exploitation data, a consumption of fresh water distribution characteristics, for each ship from selected group of ships are presented. Based on these characteristics the method of determination of fresh water demand distribution characteristics was worked out. The method is based on a correlation between searched characteristics and selected parameters of designing ship.
