Forecasting of Monthly Mean Rainfall in Rayalaseema

Abstract

Seasonal Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (SARIMA) model in analyzing the forecast of monthly mean rainfall in Rayalaseema (India) using R is discussed. We have checked the different ARIMA models according to the structure of the data, finally we found that the ARIMA (5,0,1)(2,0,0)[12] has been fitted to the data and the significance test has been made by using lowest AIC and BIC values.
