Abstract
The article is devoted to clarifying the procedural requirements to the form and content of the cassation appeal regard- ing the violation of the right to defend by the first and appellate instances of the court, identifying the shortcomings of legal regulation in this area, development of recommendations for improving the current legislation of Ukraine.
