Form and Essence in Packaging

Abstract
One of the main concepts in the knowledge of packaging, is the agreement of form and essence. Basically, form and essence are among the fundamental elements of the establishment of packaging knowledge. The present study that has been presented as an analytical-descriptive library research, investigates the significance of a simultaneous consideration of both "form" and "essence" in packaging. The findings of this research reveal that, the Almighty God has enriched the creatures and all other beings in the universe, with essence and meaning within an idoneous mold, and has excellently blazoned the inside in the form, in a way that, the form (the mold, the appearance) and the essence (the inside, the content) suit each other correctly, and, the form protects its essence and inside, and defines and identifies it by proper color, texture and other factors. Generally, it can be concluded that every piece of art which is created, is a portrayal of an essence, and, what is in its inside, is been depicted on its face by its creator. At a successful packaging process, the form or the appearance of the package, must be in coordination with the product and must protect it, and, considering color, form, size and volume, must have a harmony with its inside and define it; otherwise, the created piece of work would be dull, unidentifiable and improper.
