Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the organizational and legal foundations of the lawyer's activity in the judicial process during the Soviet period, taking into account the political and state influence. It established that the State in any way tried to add a lawyer as a legal institution. Also, the article analyzes the main directions and approaches of different scientists in studying the mentioned problem.
