Formation of Pittsburgh Dialect and its place in the Midland dialect chain

Abstract

This article is the survey of Pittsburgh dialect formation and its place in the Midland dialect chain. The article presents some phonetic, lexical and grammar peculiarities of the Pittsburgh dialect.
