FORMING OF ARCHAEOLOGICAL LIBRARY OF THE KYIV ARTISANRY AND SCIENCE MUSEUM: PEOPLE AND BOOKS

Abstract
The study of the archaeological part of the library of the Kyiv Artisanry and Science Museum is part of the study of the history of the whole museum library and the network of scientists that existed around the museum. Analysis of the museum library donors showed that they can be divided into some groups: museum staff and involved researchers, Ukrainian archaeologists who had immediate contacts with museum director Mykola Bilyashivsky (for example, the authors of articles in the magazine “Archeological chronicles of Southern Russia”) or with other curators of museum collections, Russian archaeologists who were mostly members of the Imperial Archaeological Commission, and also had a common scientific interests with the museum director, interested in the work of the museum's collection Finnish archaeologists.
