Fracture Spine (L2 –L3 ) With Paraparesis - Conservative Management
Journal Title: International Journal of Orthopaedics Traumatology & Surgical Sciences - Year 2016, Vol 2, Issue 1
Abstract
Thoraco lumbar is most common region for spinal injuries with neurological involvement . There are two transitional mobile zones of spinal, one is cervicothoracic and second is thoraco lumbar. Throught clinical, neurological examination & various imaging modalities are required to assess the spinal injuries. Management of fractures of thoraco lumbar spine is controversial for several reasons. To date there are only two clinical randomized controlled studies conducted to compare the outcome of operative & non operative management. Different fracture pattern observed in spine are compression fracture, Burst fracture -both stable & unstable, flexion & distraction injuries and fracture dislocations MRI is best modality to assess the soft tissue & neurological involvement & CT Scan is ideal modality to evaluate bony injury. Non operative & operative treatment depends upon the neurological status of patient, determination of spinal column functional integrity based on specifically injured structures & magnitude of deformity.

Outcome Of Intraarticular Distal Radius Fracture In Adults Treated By Open Reduction And Internal Fixation With Volar Buttress Plate
Background: Distal radius fracture with intra-articular extension (AO Type C1, C2 and C3) is a major cause of severe morbidity in patients with upper extremity injuries. Aims: The purpose of this study was to evaluate...
Subtrochantric Femoral Fracture And Dynamic Condylar Screw-Institutional Study
Subtrochanteric fracture accounts for 10-15% of all fractures, 10-34% of all hip fractures and 7-10% of proximal femoral fractures.1The main aim of subtrochanteric femur fracture management is restoration of optimal func...

Introduction:Most common fracture in shoulder girdle in adults is Proximal humerus fractures. Surgical treatment is increasing with PHILOS using Delto-pectoral or Deltoid splitting approaches. Aims:To compare the outc...
Functional And Radiological Outcomes In Management Of Thoracolumbar Fractures Without Neurological Deficits
Introduction and Objectives: Traumatic fractures of the thoracolumbar spine, especially the thoracolumbar junction (T10–L2), are the most common fractures of the spinal column. Despite extensive studies on this common in...
