FRICTION FORCE AND ITS COMPONENTS IN SLIDING MOTION AT TRANSVERSE VIBRATIONS
Journal Title: Tribologia - Year 2015, Vol 264, Issue 6
Abstract
The results of the experimental verification of dynamic model developed by the authors are presented in this paper for analyse of the influence of transverse vibrations on the friction force in sliding motion. Verification was carried out through the comparison of experimentally determined time characteristics of a friction force and its components with corresponding ones obtained from numerical computations with the use of a developed model. The suitable agreement of these characteristics was achieved. The verified model was used in the simulation analyses of the influence of sliding velocity and the amplitude of vibration velocity on the time characteristics of a friction force and its components in sliding motion.
