“From Here to Globality:” A Pathological Local View
Journal Title: Studies in Global Ethics and Global Education - Year 2015, Vol 0, Issue 3
Abstract
Building on the works dedicated to the center-periphery dependencies the paper proposes a project of the method and the research program focused around the local (provincial/semiprovincial) “pathologicalness” as a way of reading the relationship within the centers. The method and the program are an attempt to respond to the challenges related to the presence of theoretical non-teritorial hegemonic actors whose presence effectively hampers center-periphery narrations while holding it to mask their own dominance, and relying on it as a set of available practices and resources.
